I see some knees jerking all right, but I don?t think they?re jerking on the right wing. Documents are being translated. They are just beginning to be discussed. Certain people have a vested interest in the ?Bush lied, people died? thesis. Thus when documents or witnesses contradict this thesis, knees jerk. I predict more contradictions and jerking knees to follow: Here?s General Sada on the Newsweek translation: http://mensnewsdaily.com/2006/03/24/saddam-general-newsweek-translation-of-s addam-tapes-wrong/ Lawrence -----Original Message----- From: lit-ideas-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:lit-ideas-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Robert Paul Sent: Friday, March 31, 2006 10:35 PM To: lit-ideas@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [lit-ideas] Re: Bush lied, people died Eric wrote: > Interview with General Georges Sada (2nd highest in command of > Saddam?s Air Force) The links Lawrence sent were to the Web page of political hack Larry Elder, a self-styled Libertarian, whose views on most things seem to represent a predictable knee-jerk right-wing bias. The interview with General Sada (where was the general when we needed him?) took place on March 2 and March 9. General Sada wrote a book, Saddam's Secrets: How an Iraqi General Defied And Survived Saddam Hussein, which was published in late January. If the title doesn't reveal the self-serving nature of General Sada's exposé I'd be very much surprised.
