"People" have suggested various things. These include
crazy ideas such as the US engaging in direct
negotations with Iran instead of playing a 'soft
cop-tough cop' routine with the Europeans, offering to
lift the sanctions and establish diplomatic relations,
offering guarantees against a future attack on Iran,
doing something about Israel's nuclear weapons and so
on. Those who deplore doing nothing usually have only
one kind of doing in mind, the one sometimes called
killing.

O.K.
