Ciao, ho letto in un libro : "Of course, spin locks would be useless in a uniprocessor environment, since the waiting process would keep running, and therefore the process that is holding the lock would not have any chance to release it." Perche' questo?? Non capisco perche' gli spin lock sono inutili con un monoprocessore. Premetto che sono un kernelnewbies e da quello che so io, alcune zone critiche del kernel di linux possono essere eseguite da un singolo task alla volta e a tale scopo viene usato lo spin lock. Qualcuno riesce a spiegarmi l'arcano??
