Doesn't w3m for Windows come as a binary? You can simply shove those
somewhere, make executable und it should work.

As for the configure, there's no such package. The ./configures come with
the source packages, of course, so you're probably talking about autoconf
and automake (which will make a ./configure fail if missing). Seeing how
useful those two are, I'd be surprised if something calling itself a linux
environment came without them. Search again, you probably just missed
them.

Seeing that most software comes with pretty reasonable defaults, you might
install links on linux and then copy the whatever.cfg over, or find out
where the defaults are located (I always forget where, damn) and copy
those. Also, a linux package will likely come with manpages for the app
and config files, which should set you on the way.

On a slightly related note: does anyone know if it's possible to make w3m
do javascript? Yes, I know it's ridiculous, but I have a reason to want
this: the cheap wlan-devices we use for the infrastructure have a
web-interface for configuration which uses javascript. Mostly there's a
Linux or Windows box around from which I can access the web-config, but in
many cases I have to use the OpenBSD gateway for this, for example when
something's wrong with the network or when I'm ssh-ing (securely
shelling???) in from home.

Cheers
