[Linux-Anyway] A W98 question....

Hey,
For now, I'm spending a lot of time on a W98 box & have (yet
another) Windows annoyance I hope someone knows how to fix.
Say I'm doing something in one IE window (or any app) & some
process (loading of a Web page, copy or move files, etc)
completes. When it either starts or stops, that window takes the
focus, & the damn thing insists on going to the top of any other
window.
Anyone know how to make W98 play nice with someone used to real
multi-tasking of Linux....?
