Hi Christian,

Maybe John Boyer can tell you more. When I started to use LibLouis he made me clear that the braille tables nemeth.ctb, marburg.ctb and ukmaths.ctb should not be used directly in liblouis as I wanted to do in my enthousiasm, but only via liblouisutdml. You can find more about it in the documentation. In fact math is still the main subject that is supported by liblouisutdml.

Hi Arend

I see that in the process you also added the entry en-ueb-math.ctb to
tables\makefile.am.

I believe it was added by Mike, and I added it when I merged his
changes. Now I just noticed that it's wasn't listed in Makefile.am, so I
added it there.

Is this a math table that can be used in LibLouis itself or only via
LibLouisutdml?

AFAIK it was added by Michael Whapples from APH and they do not use
LibLouisutdml to my knowledge, so I would presume that you could use it
without.

And if so, has the policy with respect to using math tables changed?

Do we have a policy with respect to math tables? Sorry to sound so dumb,
but I know very little about Braille math. Maybe you can enlighten me :-)

Thanks
Christian
