Hi John,

What is the intension behind this request?
2.5.4 (2014-3-3) wasn't that long ago.
If you look at the NEWS the list of changes are minimal, so it probably
doesn't warrant a new release at this point, until we fix a few more
bugs.

If you don't have the latest liblouis package installed, then this is
something to do with your distribution/your setup, so better fixed there.

btw, Orca uses whatever liblouis is currently installed, so if you get
that sorted, you will find that Orca will reflect the changes with a
restart.
