Well, the plane in question is currently a bundle of sticks, bits, and pieces in a warehouse somewhere. I do have a Thomas Morse Scout that I built to about the same specifications as i intend for the SE-5. It's a rubber free-flight model currently, but the overall proportions, wingspan, and wing area are similar. If I'm not working Friday evening I might string the motor through it and give it a go. It'll be the model's first flight, and the fuselage is prohibitively short for rubber power, so don't expect much. Of course, that's if I can get off work. > ---------- > From: lektrik_flyers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Bill Beavers > Reply To: lektrik_flyers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Tuesday, September 26, 2006 5:32 PM > To: lektrik_flyers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [lektrik_flyers] Re: New Project > > From the description of this plane it sounds like you > are needing maybe some of the lightweight GWS type > stuff, or a mixture of GWS components and others. > Just off the top of my head and having looked at a > picture of this plane on some websites, I think I > would go with a GWS Pico Stik power unit and ESC OR a > small direct drive brushless of comparable size (more > power less current draw) with an appropriate ESC.
