I had the same Spirit of Oscar Barnack thoughts as you when I read the original 
post about smaller sensors and smaller lenses of the Panasonics versus the 
Nikons. It evokes the differences between the roll film & sheet film cameras 
and the first Leica's when they came out. Like any analogy it can only be 
pushed to a certain extent, but the similarities are quite striking.
