Couldn't agree more,
I've been using a Tamron 28-200 on my R-bodies for years (surreptitiously of course). I think the finish of the Canon 20D goes perfectly with the finish of Leica lenses. The 20D looks positively tiny with a 21/4 stuck on the front.

BTW Steve,
I tried BW mode from the camera menu and BW conversion in the Canon software a while back and can see no differences at all.

There are no reason we could discuss a Leica and a Tamron lens and we could not discuss a body and Leica R lens.

checking with you cus...several of us are playing now with leica R lenses on digital slrs... esp Canons...I have a Canon 20D... as well as R8 and R9... and use them...

potentially important to the Leica R group, I hope it will be fully acceptable and encouraged to discuss leica R/digital subjects here, with the interest and input of many, and the support of all...
