Subject: [LRflex] Re: (was) More Whales, now, Oscar's spirit From: Richard Ward <ilovaussiesheps@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 14 Jul 2011 14:27:04 -0400 I had the same Spirit of Oscar Barnack thoughts as you when I read the original post about smaller sensors and smaller lenses of the Panasonics versus the Nikons. It evokes the differences between the roll film & sheet film cameras and the first Leica's when they came out. Like any analogy it can only be pushed to a certain extent, but the similarities are quite striking. Richard in Michigan Hi Richard, I think you make a very apt analogy and certainly usability of the panasonic system is very high and the results aren't bad.
