Only thing I know to watch for is that my APO 2x changes the infinity focus.
On my 70-180/2.8, setting the lens to focus-ring infinity with the APO 2x
attached is then focused wrong and you have to rack the focus back a bit. I
called Leica about this and they replied that this is normal. Haven't
noticed any changes otherwise.
