AFAIK you don't need ROM. It might add some data to the image processing
but the lack of ROM won't prevent you from using the DMR. This question was
asked during Leica's on-line chat when the DMR was announced and IIRC the
answer was that the 3rd cam is nessesary for full-aperture metering
otherwise any lens from 1965 on could be used.
