got some birding done every single day (county in parentheses)

1 Scissor-tailed Flycatcher near Justiceburg (Garza)
1 Great Egret at Kirby Lake (Taylor)
1 Blue-headed Vireo at the rest area nw of Coleman (Coleman)
1 Cave Swallow near Zephyr (Brown)
18 Black-bellied Whistling Ducks in Lampasas (Lampasas)
4 American White Pelicans over Briggs (Burnet)
Highlight from Saturday:
1 Surf Scoter at Hornsby Bend (Travis)
Highlight from Sunday:
1 Common Merganser downstream from Tejas Camp (Williamson)

1 Green Kingfisher at Mesquite Creek x CR 228 (Burnet)
1 Brown Creeper and 1 Canyon Wren at Brownwood Rest Area (Brown)
1 Eared Grebe at the Roscoe Quarry (Nolan)
1 American Avocet near Wastella (Nolan)
1 male Common Yellowthroat at Justiceburg Picnic Area (Garza)
1 American Avocet in Slaton (Lubbock)
1 Snowy Egret at Leroy Elmore Park, Lubbock (Lubbock)
I also got to witness the Tailed Orange invasion - particularly spectacular
at Hornsby Bend - and, thanks to the quick eyes of Kent Couser, got to see
a Least Shrew - also at Hornsby Bend.
