same problem again with my 05R/W several months ago. XP would run fine until i switched on the korg, then it wouldn't exactly lock-up, it would just go into stasis, because as soon as i switched off the korg, XP would run fine again, just as it was. i did everything i could before hacking up the wires, but sorry to say it's the only way i could find. i downloaded all the dam drivers, even the japanese ones. but $1.50 at tandy and 20 minutes of stupid fiddly rewiring later and all was hunky korgy. ash ----- Original Message ----- From: "Art" <artfuljoy@xxxxxxxxx> To: <korgypark@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, January 30, 2003 5:29 PM Subject: [korgypark] Re: xp and x5dr freezing > > > --- Andy Ebling <andyebling@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > > > > > > is there any other solution to xp freezing other than adapting the > > pcif > > lead....i have the one which came with the x5dr and it worked fine > > with > > win98 ...i know other people have had this problem....any help would > > be much > > appreciated ..this is driving me mad > > > > This is the same situation I faced - setup worked fine with 98 but > > not XP. > > Eventually I got the soldering iron out and modified the cable as per > > the > > instrution manual, then everything worked fine.
