“Renewal of interest and showcasing hidden talents of students” is the main
motto of *Renaissance* .It is all about energy, enthusiasm, zeal, passion
and joi-divivre (joy of living), an event “for the student and by the
student”.
Come experience the wave of the ultimate extravaganza and witness the
exclusive gathering of techie geeks,budding young leaders,fine
artists,hair-raising performances by rock bands and eloquent speakers,caught
in the web of *Renaissance*!!
The event was previously thundered by some of the unforgettable performances
like in 2004, JECRC was rocked by Euphoria Band. After that among various
celebrities, Her Excellency Late Rajmata Gayatri Devi, Hon’ Pratibha Patil,
Jagjit Singh showered their blessings in 2005. In 2006, Aasma band came in
JECRC. Mr. Vinod Rathore performed in 2007 and Bombay Vickings gave their
enthralling performance in 2008. Last year, the sizzling performance of
Zubeen Garg set the stage on fire.
And this year we have taken it to an another level.You will witness the mind
blasting performances by non other than
*Javed Ali** *who gave many hit songs.Few of them are Tum Mile (Love
Reprise),Tu Hi Haqeeqat from Tum Mile,Jashn-E-Bahaara from Jodha
Akbar,Arziyan from Delhi-6,Guzarish -Gajini,Ek Din Teri Raahon-Naqaab and
many more......

“Endeavour”-the Cultural section consist of Raga night-the singing
competition, Adaa-the fashion show and Ground Zero-the rock band concert to
bring out and exhibit the cultural fever of young technocrats.
• *Adaa*
Just when you thought you saw it all… Rising up from the sands of the
desert… angels descend upon us with such grandeur and allure, that it leaves
all those witness to the extravaganza, breathless. To the crowds delight,
they sway on the ramp, enlivening it with their graceful walk. Clad in their
indigenously fashioned attires with beauty that mere mortals can only dream
of. Just when you thought you saw it all… JECRC’s Fash-p... ADAA!!!
• *Raga Night*
Raga night is a talent hunt for the most versatile singer among the
participants. The event has singers rendering a good blend of songs from
various eras with live orchestration.
• *Bootstrapping*
The thump, the heat, the adrenaline pumping in your veins…. Come experience
it all and set the stage ablaze…. Set the tempo with your energetic moves
and get the crowd to groove along….get up… get up and dance….
• *Vinyl war(DJ war)*
Does the smoky and murky environment of the disc entices you…

Feel the music rise in your veins as voices flow and guitars rock. The event
hails the best music band that recreates their favourite musical rock number
with superlative instrumental coordination and vocal harmony.

JECRC ROADIES finds its own unique style of certifying the saying “SURVIVAL
OF THE FITTEST” by Darwin a gospel truth. The event leaves no bounds for the
contestant in showing their dispositions to the whole Alma Matter. The fear
factor is going to leave the audiences standing tall on their feet.
- *Step Up-The Street dance*
The thump, the heat, the adrenaline pumping in your veins… come experience
it all & set the stage ablaze… set the tempo with your energetic moves & get
the crowd to groove along.. . its hip, its hop, its hip-hop.
We’ll have a blast… and you are invited.
*Quanta:*
The technical events:
• *Embryo (paper presentation)*
Are you a descendent of Einstein...? Paper presentation is a procedure in
which the participants present the results of some scientific investigation
or research.
• *Formula Zero*
Direction is more important than speed. We are so busy looking at our
speedometers that we forget the milestone. The participants should build a
robotic car that should follow the given path in minimum possible time. The
aim is to check the stability and sensing capability of device.
• *B-guru*
A business plan is a written statement setting out how the organization
making it intends to organize itself to satisfy the demands of its clients
and thereby develop its business.
- *Vritt Chitra*
Its a documentry making competition which tests your skills of how well you
can represent your idea in form a short documentry film.
- *IDP (Industrial Development Problem)*
It deals with the most prominent problems occurring in the various
industries…
So for this event, we take the problems from that industries and hence,
rules are decided by them only...
These are only a few of a large number of events which will showcase the
skills of aspiring youth bringing out their hidden talents.
