Indroduction

In the very beginning there was nothing. And then there was the universe.
All
it took was mysterious forces, unknown laws, super-duper condensed matter
and
a split second of brilliance to create the great spectacle we call the
universe. In a single blinding pulse, a moment of glory much too swift and
expansive for words, the singularity assumed heavenly dimensions. And so,
from
nothing, our universe began with a BIG BANG.
We believe that fun, undying enthusiasm, oodles of style and the will to
change the world is all it takes to create Elan. And so here we are,
creating
legacy with an even bigger BIG BANG!! With the pioneering vision to see a
world without AIDS, Elan 2010 is undertaking an active AIDS awareness
campaign
through events that are to be held during  the fest
    Élan 2010 will revolutionize the way college fests are viewed by the
world,
with events and activities spanning six broad domains namely, Technical
a.k.a
Techy, Cultural a.k.a Culti,  Literary a.k.a Litr, Informals a.k.a Infi,
Extra-mural Lectures and Workshops a.k.a EMW and Big nights a.k.a   Biggies.

Heres a sneak - peek into some of the events in each domain.

Techy:

-Mall Maza:  Design your dream mall!
-EGCC: Elan Green Circuit Challenge. Design
  an efficient circuit which meets the requirements of the problem
statement.
-Code Quest: Program the computer to dance to your tunes.
-Robotics: Build a slave robot that does your bidding!
-Innovators Ark: Transform an odd collection of objects to meet the demands
  of the problem statement.
-Contraptions: Make an intricate and complicate connection  of things to
  accomplish a simple task.
-Tech Quiz: The name says it all...

Culti:

Lose your feet: Set the stage on fire with your sizzling solo dance
performances.
- Art Beyond Sight: Can you draw what your partner describes… blindfolded??
- Leisure Art: Draw, paint or sketch at your own pace and create a wall
masterpiece.
- Movie Making: Showcase your movie making talent at your own premier and
awe
the world!
- Mono-acting: Dominate the stage with your acting skills and conquer the
audience.
Biggies:
Pro nite: Prepare to get mesmerized by the magic in Karunya’s voice as he
belts out
groovy tracks.

Danzen nite: Groups dancing to the latest tunes set the stage ablaze with
Matrix style
moves and hip - hop steps . Judged by Raghu master.
Ramp-age: Get bedazzled as sexy models scorch the ramp in designer outfits.

Elan-e-jung: The ultimate rock - band competition is here! With none other
than Kryptos
headling and judging the event. So get ready to rock!

Litr:
- Game on: Check your gaming freakiness against other freaks at the gaming
quiz.
- Socho hatke: Think positive, think negative or think different but think
fast.
- Face Off: Stand your ground till the other flusters.
- InQUIZition: What has been put in capital in the name of the event!
- Lettre d’ amour: I love u! How creatively can you express this simple
  emotion (:p) in a love letter.
- JAM: You’ve got Just A Min. Say it all... QUICK

Infi:
- Amazing race: Run like you are running for your life! And solve the tasks
  given, on the way.
- Ping: Welcome to the world of Counter-strike, NFS -  Most Wanted
- T-factor: Stage is set for you, show the world what you’ve got.
-‘Anim’aniac: Think you know everything about Naruto, Bleach, Dragon ballZ,
  Bayblade and One piece? Put it to the ultimate test at the anime quiz.

- Robotics Workshop: Build a line following, Obstacle avoiding “EYE-BOT”
that
can dance to your tunes. Workshop conducted by Robotics Ware Ltd. 27 - 28
February 2010.

Adobe Workshop: Develop Web based applications using Adobe FLEX. Workshop
conducted by Adobe Ltd.
5 March 2010.


Salsa workshop: Don’t get left behind when the catchy salsa tunes begin to
play in the Discotheque.  Learn to Salsa in perfect style and
synchronization.
6 - 7 March 2010.
