Details are a bit sketchy right now but I wanted to share this alert now for
your situational awareness. We should get more info and better maps of affected
areas later this afternoon.
The NWS in Medford has issued a flash flood watch for the far Eastern parts of
Klamath County - mostly Bly - and much of Lake County. Lots of rain and slow
moving thunderstorms are anticipated this afternoon through tomorrow evening,
with the potential for causing flash flooding on some road beds, burn scars,
drainages, and near rivers and streams.

A flash flood WATCH means conditions are capable of producing flash flooding.
Stay tuned to forecasts; if the WATCH is elevated to a WARNING, then flash
flooding is occurring or going to occur. If that happens, avoid areas likely to
flood. Do not drive through flooded areas - TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN - it only
takes 12 inches of water to lift your vehicle and carry it away. Check out this
video from the NWS that illustrates this point: https://youtu.be/eI6mIlHKrVY
