It stems from the days of oil snake salesmen and huckster around the turn of 
the previous century. Men who had little shame in showing up at a hanging or a 
funeral to promote themselves and their wares at inappropriate times and 
inappropriate places.

Posting MY songs on a Klaatu forum may not be viewed as appropriate by some. 
But I have no shame in doing so because I feel I am promoting amongst friends. 
Still...it's a presumption.
