That's my favorite Albert Hammond song, but I never knew the backstory behind

Hi all,
Just a quick comment on some things I was listening to tonight.
Albert Hammond - I Don't Wanna Die In An Air Disaster
This was his follow up to "It Never Rains In Southern California". It was
beginning to climb the charts when Jim Croce died in an airplane crash and was
yanked from the airwaves because of that crash. Really pretty melody.
The other track that caught my ear tonight as I was flipping around the radio
dial was a 2009 recording by "Passion Pit" called "To Kingdom Come". Nice
syruppy pop.
Thought I'd share those with you.
