Next Thursday will be the final session of the Kingston Fun Net.[KFN]
My apologies to NFU, GST, VJF and many of the others who have checked in over
the last year. The net will close for the following reasons:
There is not enuf participation to carry on. That is number one!
If you don't participate why should I spend my time on this!
The kingston fun net was created to let you - yes you!: try cw and see if you
liked it. There was no other reason to have this net except to allow local hams
tryout cw and see it they might like it. I thought that maybe there was a place
for a 'slow speed net' where people weren't judged by their speed or their
ability to operate a key/ keyer.
I guess I was wrong.
Personally, I can go on CW anytime that I like..I am slow but I can work the
world with 3 watts and a simple wire... But I created the KFN to allow local
hams to try CW. It does not seem to have worked.
So the net will close on Thursday.
