Juno Cuts Losses by 94 Percent

NEW YORK (AP) - After massive cutbacks in marketing expenses, free
Internet service provider Juno Online Services Inc. (NasdaqNM:JWEB -
news) said second-quarter losses had narrowed 94 percent.
For the three months ended June 30, New York-based Juno reported losses
of $2.6 million, or 6 cents per share, on revenues of $29.4 million,
compared with a loss of $42.8 million, or $1.11 per share, on revenues of
$29.6 million.
To cut its losses, Juno also cut back its free Internet access and
cheapest subscriptions, shedding almost 20 percent of its users in three
months.
