I've found it necessary to check both...
Observed a strange last evening... in an account that's checked
infrequently via web (never by software), Beta-mail showed "no new",
but minutes later "old-mail" offered 2 items as new... appearing valid
from recent days.. no obvious signs of delayed delivery.
Sometimes its the other way 'round... Go figgure.
