From what it says about the switcher it's as simple as turning the selector knob, to change source.

My GTX card only has one HDMI port on it so I run that to one monitor and have a VGA cable running to monitor 2. That leaves the HDMI on monitor 2 free - so if I can find a suitable cable I'll try hooking my Kindle up to it. I think I can switch inputs from the monitor menu.. No indication of which it is. I checked the mammoth TV but can't see one on that. It probably pre-dates them. One daughter has just dropped in and asked how old it was and how much? I can't remember when I bought it but it was over £2000. Hers is same size and they paid £500! That got me thinking though and the cheap and smaller TV I bought for one of the bedrooms has HDMI sockets. Plugged in the Fire and I'm now watching an Ezyjet arrival at EGNS; or was. It looks much better on an 18" screen. Next job to try to stop the Fire doing a timeout after a few idle minutes. How long before the small TV finds its way into this room ......... I've just received a cable that allowes me to connect my Kindle Fire to a normal HDMI socket. When I check around, the only device I have to which I can connect the Fire is my laptop. Having connected to the laptop, and looked at My Computer on it, there's nothing to indicate that the Fire is connected. I want to be able to look at the Fire's FlightRadar24 display, or BBC iPlayer on the laptop monitor. Any advice on how to get there please? Gerry Winskill
