The only thing I noticed after setting up my 2 monitors was that the icons on the desktop were all over the place. I just ran a flight from LIRF to EGGP and everything was great. My second computer, running Active Sky & Flight Sim Commander on an ATI Radeon X800(whose drivers I also updated) was clearer, sharper and all around more vibrant colours. Did you do as Tom suggested and use the Nvidia Control Panel to setup your monitors?

However, I had all sorts of problems with FSX refusing to appear in its normal form. Eventually I traced it to significant differences between the present FSX.cfg and a copy of the optimised version I've run for some months, stored on a different hard drive. The only way this can have happened is if the FSX.cfg had been erased and FSX allowed to re create the Default version. Since the only thing I'd done was install the latest driver, could that installation process be the culprit? As it was installing, there were a couple of transitory messages about things it didn't like and was changing. I should have known better than to update; now only one of my three THTG screens is operational! Oh, I almost forgot, it's not finding the monitor run from the PCI card at all. So, I'm down from five to two. Not my idea of the way top save the earth! Gerry Winskill Denis Ripley wrote:Mike, Uninstalling the old drivers is something I didn't do. I just ran the ".exe" file and it did everything for me. Good job because I wouldn't know how to uninstall the old ones anyway. Then re-boot and run the new driver setup - if your PC detects new hardware and wants to install drivers for itself make sure you cancel this and continue with the Nvidia routine. I took my own advice yesterday and upgraded to 185.85. Mike L Gerry Winskill wrote:Driver downloads seem to be much less simple than they were.
