Having spent most of my time recently developing a website for my brother
and with the time TJ (alias SWMBO) demands I've had to take the
opportunities to sneak in here when I can. I did manage to finish IVAO's
2010 IFR tour and now have the badge on my profile page to show for it.
Since then though it's only been the occasional half or so I've been able
to grab (unless you count early hours of the morning). During that time
I've been trying to learn to fly Rick Pipers Vickers Viscount for FS9 (with
Fraser McKay's excellent panel). I'm thinking of taking it on the IVAO
vintage tour 2011 so it's been a period of offline familiarisation before I
dare go live with it. If you haven't seen this plane, I can recommend it.

Why the Viscount? because it fits the vintage tour criteria, there's a
British Eagle livery and has an IVAO MTL model available. The British Eagle
bit harks back to my late father who worked as a fitter for British Eagle at
Heathrow until they liquidated in 1968. I originally wanted to use the
Britannia but there's not a suitable IVAO MTL model so I'm learning the
intricacies of the Viscount instead.

My tour start is likely to be delayed a while yet though as TJ has a minor
op. herself tomorrow (Weds). She has been getting "borderline changes" for
cancer smear tests for the last 3 years so they've now decided to take a
skin sample from the neck of her cervix for more comprehensive testing.
This will leave her with an internal open wound and limited mobility for a
week or two so muggins is on duty 24/7. C'est la vie!

Subject: [jhb] I'm Back

After 15 days without telephone (landline) and internet, I am back from the
wilderness.

Did yer miss me? naw.

Just gotta get the system back up to scratch, wireless is working so far.

Anyway, just gone through the 80 odd JHB emails, seems I am not the only one
being hospitalised, glad you are back Bones.
I got a trip in an ambulance in the early hours for a suspected Angina
attack, now I am having to go throught the system for a full medical MOT,
been donating blood left right and centre, xrayed, poke and prodded, back to
the hospital for cardiology tests etc, and prostrate tests, urgh.

Wifey is now a happy bunny, having the time of her life catching up on
Facebook.

Right, gotta now go and transfer the router back upstairs and sort out why
no connection there. (once I pry Wifey from her laptop)
