Apparently it's something they can't do anything about but, to my eye, the colours of the aerial photographs are far too unsaturated. Too little contrast as well. I find it difficult to spot the roads in some areas.
Hope mainland Scotland is more colourful and sharper. Gerry Winskill Fossil wrote:
Yep - saw it too. Surprised that Scotland is a five part release so if they are all 30 quid it mounts up to an expensive collection. The screenshots taken around Benbecula and Stornoway look good. Some of the other shots seem a bit dull (maybe the sun wasn't out when they took them) so the hills didn't have the vibrant colours I remember. It would have been nice to see shots around Seaforth Loch and Callanish.. The page has a big plug for Barra as being one of the few beach airstrips in the world so but doesn't mention Sollas which has also been active since the 1930's. bones bones@xxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mike Lucas Sent: 20 October 2009 15:30 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] Horizon VFR Gen X ScotlandNo doubt there are others on this list who, like me, have received today's e-mail flyer about the first of the VFR Gen X sceneries for Scotland (Western Isles) shipping at the end of next week.I was intrigued to note that one of the highlighted features is the hand-edited night lighting.Night lighting ... in the Western Isles?? Not a lot of it about!Still - I shall be adding it to my list for the big present exchange event on 25 December (I refuse to use the 'C' word in October).Mike L __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4526 (20091020) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
