OK I am assuming you are using XP. Open up "my computer" and select the "C" drive but don't open it, just select it. Press the context (applications) key and from the pop up menu select properties. This puts you in the general page of the drive information. If you are using JAWS just do an insert B to read this page and theused and free space is clearly stated. Also if you control tab to the tools page of this dialog you can scan and defragment the drive which should be done periodically.
