and to go to the address bar it's control-f6 or alt-d, I use control-f6
though because it's the one I'd learned first.

In Internet Explorer, control+o and control+l are, or at least seem to be, interchangeable. and for the record, this does not put you in the address bar, it opens up a dialog box.

So, if you weren't in an edit field, I don't think Windows would have gone
ahead and performed the paste function upon your command, as you weren't in
