Hi to all,

the new German beta is out, and now there are some problems with this option
active.
Would any of you try the following, just to see if the option produces this
strange effect with the US versions of JAWS?
1. Open the Config manager, and open the default file with control+shift+d
2. Go into the set options menu, select advanced and press enter.
Press shift tab till you hear JAWS say "Rely on MSAA for listviews". If the
checkbox is not checked, mark it with the spacebar. Press OK, and save the
changes using control+shift+s. Alt+F4 to exit.
To reproduce the error, pretend you want to mark items either on the
desktop, or using an explorer window. When on a list containing items, hold
the control key down, and press the cursor keys. In prior versions of JAWS,
you would hear "not selected" followed by the name of the file you landed on
with the cursor, and then its corresponding item number.
But with 6.1, all you should hear is "not selected" and then the number X of
Y, where X is the number of the file you stand on, and Y the number of the
current files.

Good luck, and maybe someone of the more advanced users might give an
explanation about how and why this happens.

Kind regards,
Nermin
