Mike,

Okay, I thought you were telling Dana how to allow flash to play -- not telling
how to disable permanently.

Does the JAWS options dialog (Insert+V) override for the time being, if you do
decide to allow flash to play? I suspect that is what you were saying.

Dave

  Hi Dave,

I am totally sorry about the confusion! " Ignore Flash on Web Pages " should
be checked. I hope this clears things up. Take care.

  Mike,

You confused me. Did you direct us to check, or UN-check the selection in the
html configuration page, below?

    Hi Dana,

To turn the flash player on permanently and other choices of having flash
player turned on or not read below.
    Flash movies on web pages

You can load the Internet Explorer configuration manager and do an alt s for
    settings.
Then type the letter h for html options. Control tab to, misc options.
Tab to, ignore flash messages and check it.
Press enter and save it with control + S and alt + F4 to close.

If you don't want to entirely disabled flash, you can also bring up the
verbosity menu with insert+v, hit the letter "f" until you come to " flash
movies recognize ", hit the space bar to toggle off or on reading flash and hit
enter to accept the change.
This will only cancel flash for the current session.

If you want to turn off flash movie for a particular web page and
come back to it with the settings still off, you must make a change
in personalized settings. To do this:

Hit JawsKey+shift+V to bring up the verbocity, hit the letter F until
you come to flash movie and turn it off by hitting the space bar and
    save the changes.

The next time you open that web page, the flash movie will remain off.

I forget what version of Jaws personalized settings in Jaws options became
an option but, I know it works in Jaws 10 & 11. Hope this helps. Take care.
    Mike

    Hi Dana,

    While on the web page of choice;
    1. Press Insert/Jaws key +V for Jaws options.
    2. Press the letter " F " until you hear " flash movies recognize ".
    3. With " flash movies recognize " highlighted press the space bar until
you hear Jaws say " on " then press enter. You only have 2 options here, on or
off.
    Hope this helps. Take care.
