As far as I could tell Jaws announced all things in the view menu under tool
bars and in the main menu of the tool bars under the view menu. The only thing
that wasn't checked under the tool bars was custojmized. Judith

hi, have you tried to show your status bar? to show it, in the Outlook
view, press Alt + V, for view, and look for the status bar. A check box must
be indicated. If the check box for the status bar was not indicated, then,
press enter on it will enable your status bar.

I know we've done something like this before but I stupidly never saved the
notes. Once again I have no status bar in outlook. What I mean is that jaws
never says the number of messages in the inbox, the number unread, receiving
mail, sending mail or just working on line. Any solutions? Thanks, Judith
