I never use stand by, but sometimes when I unload jaws because it is not reading something properly and I load jaws again it says jaws in 40 minute mode. So if I then unload it again and load it again it says jaws for windows is ready and if I then go into the jaws window and I go into the help menu and into the about message box I can see that the full version is running because if its running in 40 minute mode the serial number will always be 801 and the about dialogue will also say how many minutes is remaining. So try unloading jaws and bring it back again if it says that its running in 40 minute mode, it might work. ________________________________ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ray Foret Jr. Sent: 31 May 2007 02:45 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: stand by and Jaws That's very strange. When I bring my system in to stand by mode, and then bring it back up again, JAWS comes back up with the full version. I'm using JAWS 7.1.2500 with Windows XP Home edition service pack II. I do know that when I restart my PC, all is right and Jaws is working properly, not as demo. Any other help please. I have had that happen to me several times, and usually when I restart my Pc, that resolves the issue and I return from stand by or hibernate modes, Jaws comes back as a full version . I have done this on both of my systems; laptop is running Windows XP Pro with SP2 and Jaws 8.0.2107, desktop is running Windows XP Home with SP2 and Jaws 8.0.2107, and, both systems have latest updates installed. So today I tried it. When I come back from stand by position, Jaws is coming but only as demo mode. Can someone tell me what to do to solve that problem? I'm using win XP professional, SP2 with all the latest updates and Jaws 8.0.2107. Thanks much Moti Moti Azrad Musician & Piano-Tuner motia@xxxxxxx azrad_moty@xxxxxxxxxxx motiaz@xxxxxxxxx Israel
