I also have the keyboard echo off. I type 71 words per minute so that
constant sound would drive me insane.

I have my keyboard echo off. I can't imagine hearing every letter, or even word, that I type.

Especially, the space bar? It does not speak the letters as fast as I type.
I can adjust the speed of the voice when it is reading, but not the keyboard
