Hi,

no not offensive at all. And I have no clue why it is doing this either.

I use outlook 2007 with german language pack, but I have it set to have
headers and the to and from stuff in English. At least that is what I did
set it to in options for international mail.

My jaws 10 I manually turn on to read English messages whenever I am reading
stuff from English speaking mailinglists. On all other occasions it works
with the default german jaws voice.

Now this is here with the laptop which runs a german windows7. On my desktop
üc I run English windows 7 with jaws 10 and English default. Also outlook
runs on default English over there.

So I have no clue why it is doing this. I turned on language detection to
try, but do not get both languages at once. So I basically do not know what
to do to change this appearance ffor you guys, other than just not mailing
from laptop anymore.

Mike,

I just turned on language detection and also heard the German. However with
it turned off, there was no text that I could "see".

Hi CHB,

When I read your messages Jaws first reads the whole message in English,
then Jaws starts reading in another language. I think it is German. I know
Jaws is doing this because I have language detection turned on. Can you
tell me if Jaws is translating your English message into the other language
after it reads it in English or are you also typing the same message in the
other language and Jaws is reading that as well. Please correct me on the
language if I got it wrong. I hope that this message is not offensive in
any way to you or anyone else because it certainly is not meant to be. I am
just trying to learn more about how Jaws works with other languages.
Another thing that I noticed is that I had to turn language detection off to
reply to this message because whenever I would try to read something that I
had typed in this message back to me Jaws would read it in the non English
language and I couldn't check for typing errors. All information helping me
to understand how language detection works will be graciously accepted.
Thanks much. Take care.

Mike

Reply to Sender works with Outlook in JAWS 10, though. At least for Outlook
2003 it does. This machine's not running 11 though so I can't varify that.

Reply to sender also does *not* work with Microsoft Outlook either.

I love these wonderful new features we get for our SMA bucks. (LOL)

Dave,

The reason that people can't use the Reply Directly to Sender feature in
Outlook Express is that FS breaks it about every other update. In the Build
of JFW 11 that came on the DVD, it's putting the list address into the To
field instead of the sender's address.

In every new version of JFW, we get new features and new bugs, like the
DECtalk Access32 no longer working bug. And sometimes, we just get the old
bugs back again!

Why not just use the Ins+Shift+R keystroke?

Hi,

I'm not trying to run anyone's business,

But I feel that a lot of you may not know this, so I will tell you a easy
way to reply to a message but send it to the sender and not the list,

1 press alt+1 twice quickly

it will highlight the sender's name

2 press ctrl+C

this will copy the sender's address to your clipboard

3 press ctrl+R

to reply to the message

4 delete the list address in the To: field and paste in the sender's address
from your clipboard.

Well, thats my 2 cents

Thanks,
Rob
