Hi Dave,

With language detection turned on, reading the email from CHB Jaws read the
message in English then , I Believe, reads the same message in German. When
the message came back to the list that I replied back to CHB Jaws would not
read it in English until I turned language detection off. I called FS tech
support and let them listen to the email from CHB and my reply and they
didn't have an answer, except to turn off language detection in the default
configuration manager but, mine was already turned off in the defaultCFM.
So, I turned lang detec off in the OE CFM. The problem I was having is when
I turned lang detec off in Jaws verboscity it wasn't saving the change and
would turn it back on all by its lonesome! Now with it turned off in both
the OE and default CFM everything is fine. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Take care.
Mike

Mike,

I just turned on language detection and also heard the German. However with
it turned off, there was no text that I could "see".

  Hi CHB,

When I read your messages Jaws first reads the whole message in English,
then Jaws starts reading in another language. I think it is German. I know
Jaws is doing this because I have language detection turned on. Can you
tell me if Jaws is translating your English message into the other language
after it reads it in English or are you also typing the same message in the
other language and Jaws is reading that as well. Please correct me on the
language if I got it wrong. I hope that this message is not offensive in
any way to you or anyone else because it certainly is not meant to be. I am
just trying to learn more about how Jaws works with other languages.
Another thing that I noticed is that I had to turn language detection off to
reply to this message because whenever I would try to read something that I
had typed in this message back to me Jaws would read it in the non English
language and I couldn't check for typing errors. All information helping me
to understand how language detection works will be graciously accepted.
Thanks much. Take care.
  Mike

Reply to Sender works with Outlook in JAWS 10, though. At least for
Outlook 2003 it does. This machine's not running 11 though so I can't varify
that.

Reply to sender also does *not* work with Microsoft Outlook either.

I love these wonderful new features we get for our SMA bucks. (LOL)

  Dave,

The reason that people can't use the Reply Directly to Sender feature in
Outlook Express is that FS breaks it about every other update. In the Build
of JFW 11 that came on the DVD, it's putting the list address into the To
field instead of the sender's address.

In every new version of JFW, we get new features and new bugs, like the
DECtalk Access32 no longer working bug. And sometimes, we just get the old
bugs back again!

Why not just use the Ins+Shift+R keystroke?

      Hi,

I'm not trying to run anyone's business,

But I feel that a lot of you may not know this, so I will tell you a
easy way to reply to a message but send it to the sender and not the list,

      1 press alt+1 twice quickly

it will highlight the sender's name

      2 press ctrl+C

this will copy the sender's address to your clipboard

      3 press ctrl+R

      to reply to the message

4 delete the list address in the To: field and paste in the sender's
address from your clipboard.

      Well, thats my 2 cents

      Thanks,
      Rob
