Very interesting, thanks for the tip. You don't actually have to press F8 quickly as it seems to toggle between selecting word, sentence, or paragraph you are in. This is certainly better than what I have been doing, although it doesn't seem possible using the F8 method to then add the next sentence to your highlighted block of one sentence, from what I have tried the selected area would jump from your one sentence to the entire paragraph if you pressed F8 again.
