Re: ripping CDs with cDex

either ripping using winamp to *.ogg or cdex to *.mp3 takes a fair ammount of time for the encoding to process. not unusual and not lightningly quick.At 11:26 AM 2/21/2008, you wrote:

Someone on another list told me that his PC will rip an entire CD to mp3's in a minute using cDex. I find that it takes 15 to 20 minutes or so, depending on the number and length of the songs on the CD. I also checked with my tech support person at the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) and he concurred with my estimate.
