That's fine Steve, as long as you're willing to have some of your emails
not reach their destination (without you knowing), you're free to do as
you like.  I just wanted to make Ryan aware of a common spammer
technique (a single name to make you think you know the person), and a
common defense against that technique; what you and Ryan choose to do
with the information now that you have it is of course up to you.
