Certain e-mails will be effected by the font change and some will not. I
noticed this myself because I'm a low vision guy and some e-mails changed
and some didn't. Also, it seemed that I couldn't make the change constant.
I had to set it in each and every e-mail I opened and it was only good for
the duration of that open.
This was true in Outlook 2002 and OE6.

Hi. Thanks for the replies/ideas.

I changed the font size variable in the Read tab from Larger to Largest.
Pressed ok, ok and then exited OE. Started up OE again to make sure it was
set properly.

(smile on) Maybe its my eye sight, but there doesn't seem to be any change.

When Viewing the text size the Largest is checked.

Oh well, no need to spend too much time on this slightly off JAWS topic. The
point of my initial email was if your default compose font is set to a small
font and you don't mind changing it to a larger font, do it... and many of
us low-vision folks will say Thank You Very Much.

This message reads to be as Times Roman 12 pt bold.

You can set the read font size in the Read Tab, near the bottom.

Good question Dave. I think what happened was that I used another email as a
blank slate for my message and thus used those characteristics. I think this
message is in Verdana 10 point bolded font which is my default.

I thought the sender had control over email font sizes and not the reader.
Am I learning something new?

If so, I didn't see where in OE / Tools / Options to set it. Can you help?

Thanks.

Hmmm. I read yours as being 12 points Times Roman. Somehow I don't
understand why the font size isn't dictated by your own setup in OE/Outlook.

Hi. This might sound like a strange request and suggestion to a JAWS, aka no
monitor for visualization, group but let me put on my flak jacket and
request that some of you increase the font size of your email from 8 to 10
point font non-bolded to 10-14 point font (Verdana is great) bolded for
those of us using this great information source so that it will be easier on
our low-low vision still got some central acuity eyes.

Thanks.

KenC
