If I understand you correct, you search in ar by using ctrl + f > type search
text > press enter key > ...
Now, you schould try f6 and normally you should jump to the page where the
search criteria is found - if nothing could be found ar would give a dialog box.
If that doesn't help, please tell us.
Thanks, Michael

Hi, I am trying to do a find with adobe reader9 and jaws 9.0.2169 on a
windows vista machine; however, when I press control f, type in the word or
phrase that I am trying to look for and press enter, jaws doesn't say
anything, and I am still in the find window.
I have tried pressing escape, but all it does when I do this is to make the
windows vista dinging sound and I simply have to hit altf4 to close out the
document completely. Trying the search that adobe has with control shift f
doesn't do anything either as far as finding text within a document and
escape here doesn't seem to work.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
