pauses when encountering multiple periods

I sent this message on Sunday but never received a response. Maybe no one read
it, maybe no one knows the anser, maybe there isn't an answer.

Anyway, thought I'd post it one more time just to see which one is correct.

I have jfw v5 and when using pmmail I have punctuation turned off completely.
But, when I arrow down a list of messages, jfw will read the name date/time
subject just fine, but in the list there is also a field showing where the
message is from. This latter field is preceeded usually with at least 3
periods. Jfw
inserts a
very long pause before reading the "from" and I'm wondering if there is any way
to shorten this pause, either through a setting somewhere or by editing one
of
the configuration files.

I don't want to eliminate all pauses for periods as I still want jfw to pause
slightly at the end of a sentence, but it could really be helpful to shorten
the pauses
somewhat when multiple periods or possibly other multiple punctuations are
encountered.

I've tried changing to punctuation controlled by synthesizer and this has had
no effect. I also tried turning off the handling of multiple punctuations and
again it
didn't change a thing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Don
