I found the following on the JFWLITE page in one of the helpful hunts: Press alt V for the view menu. Press C for columns. Arrow down to subject. Press alt W for the pixels wide edit field. It will read you a number, delete that and try entering a larger number such as 350 to start. You may need to experiment. Enter for okay. Also a few other things to check. In the list of columns, make sure you don't have too many things checked. Maybe only attachment, from, and subject. If jaws doesn't indicate whether the item is checked or not, tab and if you find a show button that means it is not checked. If you find a hide button, that means it is checked and you have that column set to display. Also, gGo to the view menu, press L for layout, and tab and make sure you don't have use preview pane checked. Oh and of course, make sure you have OE maximized with alt space bar and then X! -- Bruce Toews E-Mail and MSN/Windows Messenger: coke_drinker@xxxxxxxx Web Site (including info on my weekly commentaries): http://www.ogts.net For the best oldies anywhere go to http://www.treasureislandoldies.com On Sun, 4 Jan 2004, adam Morris wrote: > I am wondering how to get Outlook express under win98 to speak more of the > subject line? > > I have a message for instance which has the subject of: > > A beacon of hope for the blind Sue Arnold, who suffers from a hereditary form > of > blindness, reflects on her family's long relationship with Moorfields Eye > Hospital > > i know its a very long subject line. > > If I use window eyes it reads the entire subject line whereas jfw4.51 only > reads > part. > > Any help is appreciated. > > I use window eyes only when jfw doesn't read check boxes etc properly, jfw is > my > screen reader of choice. > > > Adam Morris > > Phone: 02 97643347 > > msn: awmorris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > icq: 74855638 > > > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to > jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. > > > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
