outlook express subject lines.

I am wondering how to get Outlook express under win98 to speak more of the
subject line?
I have a message for instance which has the subject of:
A beacon of hope for the blind Sue Arnold, who suffers from a hereditary form of
blindness, reflects on her family's long relationship with Moorfields Eye
Hospital
i know its a very long subject line.
If I use window eyes it reads the entire subject line whereas jfw4.51 only reads
part.
Any help is appreciated.
I use window eyes only when jfw doesn't read check boxes etc properly, jfw is my
screen reader of choice.
