It might be noted tdhat Outlook-2000, which many of us still have at
work (Parole Division, California Department of Corrections), acts like
Outlook-XP in this respect--both total number of items and number unread
are given.

I found that outlook xp does this, but with outlook 2003 you only get
the total number of items in the folder. :(
