Creating Message Rules and folder in OE.





> This example will be for making a filter for a folder which you name XXX.

> First make a folder named XXX.

> To do so press control shift E, type Name of folder , then tab and arrow

Here you are.

here are the instructions for creating filters.

> OE Message Rules Setup

> This particular instance will automatically tell Outlook Express to

> place all emails from where XXX is the name of your created folder. in

to your folder.

> 1. make sure you have  folder in your OE list of folders

> called XXXX.

> Here we go.

> 2. While in OE 5, hit alt T to take you to the Tools menu.

> 3. press r to take you to message rules

> 4. press enter to get into rules.

> You are now in the mail rules page.

> 5. Tab over to New and hit enter.

> 6. Arrow down till you hear to or cc lines  contains

> people." Touch the spacebar one time.

> 7. Now tab once to Actions list. You will see or hear  "Move it to the

> 8. Now tab two times until you see or hear "Name of the rule. New mail

> Down arrow two times. You will see or hear  Specified. Hit Enter.

> 15. Now you will up or down arrow until you hear the name of your folder

> Tab over to Ok and hit enter.

> You will be taken back to the mail rules page.

16 tab to ok and press enter

> 17. Tab to Apply Now and hit enter.

> 18. Another screen here and you should tab to Select all button and press

> space bar

> 19. Tab until you see or hear Apply to Folder.... Inbox. Hit enter.

> 20.  You will be given a message that your rules have been applied. Hit

> enter.

> 21. Tab to close and press enter

> 22. You are now in the mail rules page again and you should tab to OK and

> hit enter.

you are now finished.

I hope these instructions help. Use these steps for any folder you create.
