I know of a lady who is completely unable to receive mesages even though she is subscribed and has contacted her i s p, the mod anyone who can assist her. As a result I forward the mesages to her. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jean Menzies" <jemenzies@xxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, October 09, 2004 9:07 AM Subject: Re: lost e-mail to our moderator thus putting this on the list. But while no host service is perfect, this one has been a real pain for me as well. The freelists.org spam blocker has been extra busy blocking any command messages I have sent over the past three weeks. I couldn't generate the help request, and I couldn't unsubscribe when I had wanted to. Although James says some of my messages did get through to the list, I didn't receive copies of them even though my flags were set saying that I should. I doubt if any of my messages to James at the jfw-admins address got to him as nothing else got through the server from me in terms of list command requests. It wasn't until I sent yet another web request form to freelists that the spam filter allowed my account to work properly. In all of this, I feel that I came off looking like a real jerk in the eyes of our list owner. Clueless and incompetent at the least. So, if the list is to remain here, please realize that the problems and frustrations are real and that it's not always the fault of the end user.
