I was having trouble shutting Jaws down too. I found out an application was
hanging and wanted to send an error report. The application was "ps2.exe", an
HP keyboard manager. I don't think Jaws likes Keyboard managers that sometimes
run with keyboards that have programmable keys.

Possibly something is hanging. Try turning on Narrator before shutting down
Jaws.

can anyone tell me why when I perform a insert plus f4 key combination and
shut jaws down, on the restart of jaws with a hotkey it takes the best part of
5 minutes to restart?
