Hi George!

Try this one:
1. Go to your All Programs sub menu.
2. Look for your Norton 2003 program.
3. Open Norton Anti Virus.
4. Once it is opened, press your tab key and look for the option.
5. Once you reach it, press enter or your space bar.
6. Look for the Norton Anti Virus and hit enter.
7. Once it is opened, press tab and look for the check box that says, "Run
Norton Anti Virus on the System tray check box".8
8. Once you checked it, press tab again and look for the Ok button.
9. Press Alt + f4 to close the window. Restart your computer and see if it
works.
