Smile, nice to see you on this list as well.

Well, hopefully I will get a copy soon so I can try it out and can get use to
it before the next school year starts.

  Hi May,

Nice to see you on this list too! I installed Windows 7 on my
laptop...actually had my brother do it for me. We did a clean install, wiping
out Windows XP. I'm using the 64 bit version. It works quite well with
Jaws...haven't tried the media centre yet.

  Cheers,

  Russell

If you do not want to have 2 operating systems on 1 pc, you will get much
fewer problems by installing from the beginning all over. anoying for several
reasons but the best thing to do.

Thanks very much. I'm also not use to the media center. i can't even
get that to work for me with Vista.

Now to switch, should I take Vista off and then install 7 or how does
that work if you know.

        Hi,

I did not have Vista running but went from XP to Vista.
Since you know Vista you are used to most of the degradations MS until
now have continued in the beta.

The start menu and the search field. For power users the search field
is interesting, but searches are related to it seems the last searches. There
is no way I have found of getting to all programs fast, and twhen you get there
it is very easy to get into the search field.

The ability to customize all folders have gone, now you can only
custimize folders of the same type.

There are I think a new control something to do with e.g. file
information. NVDA is said to support it but jaws just report strange things if
you land there.

I have until now not been able to work with Media Center, only the
control speacks, but I cannot get the rest of the text in Media Center read
when I want to and it is not read when you go into a new screen, no luck with
either the JAWS cursor or read intire window commands work here.

I suppose you are used to many of these issues so switching should
not be a big deal.

          Claus

Hi everyone. I know that jaws works with windows 7 to a certain
degree at this moment. What I'm wondering now is how easy is it to switch from
Vista to 7?
